PRAYER UPON ENTERING CHURCH
O Lord, our creator, redeemer, and comforter, as we come together to worship You in
spirit and in truth, we humbly pray that you would open our hearts to the preaching of
Your Word so that we may repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, and
grow in grace and holiness. Hear us for His sake. Amen.
Blessed Lord, You have caused all Holy Scripture to be written for our learning. Grant
that we may so hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them that, by patience
and comfort of Your holy Word, we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of
ever-lasting life; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
